Qingdao, China – September 2026 – Qingdao Evergreen Maritime, a trusted professional manufacturer and exporter of high-standard marine protection equipment, has successfully completed full-scale BV inspection and certification for 10 pieces of 1.2m×2.0m pneumatic rubber fenders customized for a Pakistani client. The entire batch has passed comprehensive performance verification in strict accordance with the international standard ISO 17357, achieving full qualification under the witness of Bureau Veritas (BV) and demonstrating the company’s consistent product quality and standardized manufacturing capacity in the global marine industry.

Pneumatic fenders are critical safety facilities for ship berthing, docking and offshore mooring operations. Their material stability, structural strength and sealing performance directly affect the safety of vessels and port infrastructure. To fully meet international maritime specifications and the client’s technical requirements, Qingdao Evergreen Maritime conducted a complete set of professional tests covering five core inspection items as required by ISO 17357-1:2011, ensuring every fender delivers reliable and durable performance in complex marine working environments.
The first item is the rubber material test, which was strictly implemented in full compliance with the technical parameters specified in ISO 17357-1:2011 Table 3. Key indicators including rubber tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness, wear resistance and aging resistance were fully tested. All material test results completely meet standard requirements, ensuring the fenders possess excellent seawater corrosion resistance and anti-aging performance for long-term offshore service.

The second dimensional inspection accurately verified the overall length, diameter and structural dimensions of each fender. All dimensional tolerances are controlled within the allowable range of ISO 17357-1:2011, guaranteeing consistent appearance, assembly accuracy and standardized buffer performance of the finished products.
Thirdly, the compression test was carried out to evaluate the fenders’ bearing capacity and structural flexibility. The products maintained stable structural performance without abnormal deformation under simulated compression load, verifying their qualified energy absorption capacity and mechanical stability during actual berthing impact.

In the fourth air-leakage test, all fenders were inflated to the rated working pressure and kept under continuous observation. No pressure drop or air leakage was found on any main body, joint or sealing position, proving excellent air tightness and long-term working stability.

Finally, the hydrostatic-pressure test simulated extreme underwater pressure conditions to examine the overall structural strength. After graded pressure testing, all fenders remained intact without cracks, bulges or permanent deformation, fully satisfying ISO 17357-1:2011 safety standards.

The full BV qualification marks another solid achievement of Qingdao Evergreen Maritime in overseas market expansion. The company will continue to adhere to international production and testing standards, providing high-quality and high-safety marine equipment for global clients.
