Recently Qingdao Evergreen Maritime successfully completed the production and testing of a batch of 3.3 × 6.5 meter pneumatic fenders for Qingdao Wuchang Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC).
To ensure performance under real operating conditions, all fenders were inflated to a pressure of 80 kPa during testing. The results fully met the required technical standards and demonstrated excellent overall performance.

Strict Quality Control and Performance Verification
Each pneumatic fender underwent comprehensive quality inspection. The outer rubber layer remained intact throughout the testing process, with no signs of cracking, damage, or deformation. After inflation, the internal pressure was stably maintained at 80 kPa, confirming the fenders’ reliability for ship-to-ship (STS) operations and port berthing applications.
Minor surface dirt was observed after testing, which is normal during handling and does not affect product performance. Overall, the fenders were delivered in excellent condition.
Enhanced Durability with Tire Chain Net Protection
For this project, a high-quality aircraft tire chain net was applied to the fenders to provide additional external protection. This system significantly enhances abrasion resistance and helps prevent direct contact damage between the fender body and vessels or structures.
The tire chain net effectively improves durability in harsh marine environments, ensuring long-term reliability while reducing maintenance requirements and extending the service life of the fenders.

Ready for Deployment
The 3.3 × 6.5 meter pneumatic fenders are now ready for delivery and deployment at Qingdao Wuchang Shipbuilding, where they will play a key role in vessel berthing operations and dock protection.
With extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of marine fenders and airbags, Qingdao Evergreen Maritime continues to provide high-quality, durable, and reliable solutions to customers worldwide.
We are confident that these fenders will deliver outstanding performance and meet the rigorous operational requirements of Qingdao Wuchang Shipbuilding.
