Strategic Marine (V) uses Evergree-Marime airbags method of launching vessels, constructed at their Vung Tau, Vietnam shipyard. There are three building slips at the facility and vessels have been successfully launched down all three slips using the air bag method. The airbags have also been used to move hulls within the yard when relocating from one construction position to another to allow completion of a vessel. These moves have been completed with minimum down time to production and without the need for costly jigs, trolleys or transporters. We had the 1400 tonnes Pumphouse launched with Evergreen airbag and their engineering team for Sherritt Boca de Jaruco gas power plant project in Cuba. We are very pleased with the Evergreen-Maritime Marine Airbags. We presently have 58 in our inventory with an order of 14 more in place. We have used these exclusively for refloating of grounded vessels in locations such as Montserrat, the U.S. Gulf Coast, and currently in Chile.
