Pneumatic Fenders with Protective Netting
Pneumatic fenders with protective netting are well-suited for ship-to-ship operations, ship-to-dock berthing, and applications in harsh marine environments, especially involving large vessels.
The protective net helps safeguard the fender body from punctures and abrasions, extending the service life of the fender. Netting can be customized according to client requirements, such as fiber rope nets or chain nets. The most commonly used option is the tire-chain net, with choices of aircraft tires or truck tires.
While aircraft tires provide enhanced protection, they also add considerable weight to the fender. This should be taken into account, especially in cases where lifting capacity is limited.
Additionally , the use of protective netting does not significantly affect the energy absorption performance of the fender.
